“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” – Matthew 5:8
“What do you want when papa comes back from Delhi?” - asked the father to his 3 year old twins.
“I want a balloon.” - Said one
“I want ice-cream”- Said the other!
Those spontaneous answers bubbling with innocence was like a bolt from heaven piercing straight into my heart!
On one side we are frantically running after everything that could be possessed by (and beyond) us for a lifetime (and beyond it), irrespective of whether we need it or not - And then, here are these holy tots asking for something which bursts or melts in no time!
These twin answers have put me in a sort of toughest turmoil I ever faced!
Why and for what we are running for when we are born so innocent?Oh!, those holy answers are asking a million questions and I don’t have an answer to them.
God has sent us with such innocence. He must have surely meant us to be so, isn’t it?
What joy do I derive from these too many mundane things around me?
Is there an end to my craving for these luxuries?
When is my greed, my ego, my lust going to retire forever?
When could I be back to my true self?
They have fallen like an axe on my frozen mindset! – May I Pray – “God! Kindly bless me with this Divine Wisdom of Ignorance!”
